In a setting that reflects Audemars Piguet’s blend of heritage and contemporary elegance, collectors and champagne lovers gathered, led by the President of Salon & Delamotte Didier Depond, to explore Salon’s vision of “one terroir, one cru, one grape” from Le Mesnil‑sur‑Oger. Guests enjoyed the rare opportunity to taste two exceptional vintages—Salon 2015 and Salon 2002—each revealing the house’s laser precision and extraordinary ageing potential.
Salon 2015 captivated with its shimmering golden hue, fine bubbles, white‑flower aromatics, and signature chalk‑driven, saline freshness—intense yet finely structured, already a joy at the table while built to age. Salon 2002 showed breathtaking maturity with evolved brioche, toasted nuts, and truffle notes layered over vibrant chalk minerality, its creamy texture and pinpoint precision proving the house's legendary longevity. Served alongside Delamotte's refined blanc de blancs and a thoughtful menu, each glass highlighted Salon's gastronomic style and the profound purity of Chardonnay.
The night was made even more special by the presence of Ariel Savina, owner of Tiano & Nareno, grandson of the original Tiano & Nareno. This rare Mendoza Malbec project—created by Ariel in collaboration with Didier Depond—offered a fascinating bridge between grower Champagne and one of South America’s most exclusive, small‑production reds, blending old‑world elegance with new‑world energy.
