Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the 'Company' or 'Altaya Wines' means Altaya Wines Limited and the 'Customer' means any person, firm, company, corporation or body which places an order with the Company.

Sales
All sales are subject to our final confirmation. All orders received verbally, by fax or electronic mail are considered final. No cancellations will be accepted. Prices are subject to change without notice. All wines are offered subject to remaining unsold. Unless stated otherwise, all wines are offered lying in Hong Kong with the exception of En-Primeur. All goods sold are strictly non-exchangeable and non-refundable. This current list cancels all previous lists.
By placing an order, the Customer confirms that he/she is 18 years old or over. It is illegal to sell alcohol to people under the age of 18.
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
Wine Conditions
All wine images provided are for reference only and they do not represent the actual condition of the wine. Ullages of all wines offered are top shoulder or better, unless otherwise stated. Although we strive to find wines in their best condition, the Customer must make appropriate allowances for natural variations of ullages, conditions of cases, labels and corks for old wines. We do not accept return wines for any reason, including corked wines.
Payment
Payment is due immediately upon confirmation of order. Method of payment is preferably in the form of bank transfer. Upon receipt of proof of payment before 1pm, delivery can be arranged the next business day. Otherwise, an extra business day is required. Personal cheques will take up to 3 business days to process. Surcharge will apply for credit cards payment (Visa & Master) with approved accounts only.

The order will be valid for 7 days upon confirmation. If payment is not received during this period, the order will be voided automatically.
We reserve the right to charge interest for all overdue invoices at 5% additional to the Prime Rate set by Hong Kong Monetary Authority until the invoices are settled.
Delivery/Collection
We offer Free delivery to one single address (Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories) and Self-Pick Up for orders over HK$1,500. A HK$200 delivery charge is applicable for delivery to Discovery Bay (Please select the additional delivery charge during checkout). Regarding delivery to the outlying islands, please contact us. Please note that no wines are stored at our office but under special circumstances and with 48 hours prior arrangement, wines may be collected at our office.
For orders below HK$1,500, the following delivery charges apply:
HK$180 - Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Self-Pick Up
HK$200 - Discovery Bay (Please select the additional delivery charge option during checkout). Limited delivery services may be provided and additional charges may be applied.
Altaya Wines will not be responsible for any additional charges incurred during delivery such as but not limited to warehouse gate charges. For further enquiry, please contact Altaya Wines directly.
Late order delivery (after cut-off 14:30) and urgent delivery: HK$500

Altaya Shopping Bag
Our Altaya shopping bag including non-woven bags contain plastic finish such as plastic lamination, plastic string handle or polypropylene. Since from 31st December 2022, $1 will be charged as Environmental Levy on each Altaya shopping bag.
Breakages/Shortfall
All Customers are requested to examine the goods immediately upon collection or delivery for any deficiencies and/or damages. Claims (if any) must be logged at the time of delivery, otherwise any breakages or shortfall shall be deemed to have occurred thereafter.
Storage
Wines stored with Altaya Wines are subject to annual storage charges payable in advance. No refund or credit will be given if the wine is retrieved by the Customer during the course of a year. Contact us for more information on current charges and full terms and conditions. Altaya Wines reserves the right to increase the annual charge without prior notice. Customers will receive annual notification on storage charges.
Force Majeure
Altaya Wines shall not be liable for any failure to meet our obligations occasioned by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Law and Jurisdiction
All sales and contracts are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.
