The tasting opened with the limestone precision of Chablis from Domaine Billaud-Simon, where Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons 2023 and Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir 2023 showed the signature tension of Kimmeridgian soils — white orchard fruit, citrus lift, and a persistent saline line.
From Givry, Domaine François Lumpp presented two expressions anchored in limestone-driven structure: Givry 1er Cru Crausot Blanc 2023 offering layered orchard fruit and chalky depth, while Givry 1er Cru À Vigne Rouge 2023 moved into darker fruit tones framed by finely etched tannins.
The Côte de Nuits followed through Domaine Humbert, moving from Bourgogne Blanc 2020 into the darker register of Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2022 and 1er Cru Poissenots 2019, both marked by dense fruit profiles, earthy detail and a grounded mineral core.
In Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Jacques Cacheux brought a delicate register: Vosne Romanee Les Chalandins 2022 and Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Plantes 2021 showed red-fruited clarity, floral lift and finely textured tannins.
The final flight from Domaine Taupenot-Merme concluded with Chambolle Musigny 2022 and NSG 1er Cru Les Pruliers 2021 — contrasting silkier aromatics against firmer, structured fruit, both defined by purity and measured extraction.
