Last week, we had an extraordinary evening hosted by Domenico di Luccio, Winery Ambassador for Domenico Clerico, where guests experienced a masterful marriage of refined trattoria cuisine and exceptional Barolo wines.
The highlight of the night was the Domenico Clerico Barolo Percristina DOCG 2014, a wine steeped in family legacy and profound emotion. This flagship Barolo embodies the visionary spirit of founder Domenico Clerico, known for pioneering the modernist Barolo style that emphasizes purity, elegance, and approachable power. The 2014 vintage shines with mineral-driven depth, wild berries, spices, and a velvety yet structured tannic frame, offering an enduring experience that pays homage to the family’s lost daughter and their remarkable dedication to the Langhe terroir.
Guests enjoyed a meticulously curated menu including Italian Fassona Beef Tartare paired with Dolcetto Visadi Langhe DOC 2023, and grilled Australian Wagyu sirloin and braised short rib, complemented perfectly by Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra DOCG 2020 and the unforgettable Percristina 2014.
It was a memorable celebration of taste, tradition, and terroir, beautifully narrated by Domenico di Luccio himself.
