2022 is the first vintage certified organic of Domaine Nathalie & Gilles Fèvre. They did not get the rain in Fontenay so didn’t pick quite as early as expected but even so the harvest started on 29th August. Early and easy! After some frost damage up front, they did not make the full yield in the crus, 53-55 hl/ha, whereas 62 hl/ha was the average in Chablis. In accordance with recent custom here, I just tasted the 2022s which were already in bottle, and followed up with the 2021 vintage. Most of the ’21 premiers crus were bottled in January 2023.
