Vintage 2022

The Château des Quarts 2022 vintage presents a remarkable expression of the Mâconnais region, characterized by climatic conditions and careful vineyard management. Weather patterns in 2022 were notably similar to those observed throughout Burgundy. The year experienced a significant hailstorm on June 21 in Vergisson, which, while impactful, did not define the entire vintage's character.

One of the conspicuous elements of the growing season was the relatively low summer rainfall in the Saône et Loire department, with the exception of June, which affected the overall yields. Despite this drought, the process of ripening in the vineyards was gradual, reflecting the vines’ adaptation to challenging conditions. As a result, the wines embodied a fine clean fruit quality that defied expectations after a prolonged hot summer.
