Vintage 2019

The 2019 vintage of  Domaine Nicolas Rossignol showcases a balanced and refined expression of Pinot Noir, reflective of the Côte de Beaune’s character. While the growing season faced challenges such as frost and drought, the resulting wines are marked by concentration and depth without the excessive alcohol levels sometimes found in the Côte de Nuits.

This vintage demonstrates a transition in style, where the Pinot has traded delicate ballet-like grace for a more athletic expression. The grapes have achieved remarkable ripeness, enhancing the wine's flavor profile while maintaining balanced acidity.

Notably, the aromatics are rich, featuring ripe red fruits with floral undertones typical of Volnay, encapsulating the essence of a warm vintage without veering into excessive opulence. Careful vinification practices, including whole bunch fermentation, contribute to the wine’s complexity while ensuring a clean bill of health throughout the process.
