A trace of bricking is now in evidence. The Méo style of emphasizing a blend of power and finesse works extremely well in a vintage like 1990 and this is wonderfully expressive with its seductive blend of secondary fruit, sandalwood and highly spiced aromas that display the initial whispers of sous-bois. The delicious, powerful and concentrated medium weight plus flavors culminate in a ripe, balanced and stunningly complex finish that lingers and lingers. I especially like the intensity and focus of the flavors and this is a picture perfect example of power without weight. In sum this is beautiful juice that is now fully in its prime window of mature drinkability.
