Weingut Hiedler is a respected winery located in Langenlois, the historical center of Austria's Kamptal Valley. With a legacy that spans over 160 years, the estate reflects the unique terroir where alpine loess and metamorphic rock soils converge, nurturing centuries-old vineyards cultivated with care.

The Hiedler family's wine journey began in the late 19th century. Dr. Bruno Hiedler, taking over from his parents in the third generation, blended his roles as a winemaker and physician. His wife, Hildegard, contributed significantly to modernizing the estate, expanding the vineyard area to around 8 hectares, and refining the wine style. In 1955, Bruno's pioneering decision to plant Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) in the Schenkenbichl vineyard made him the first in the Danube region to cultivate this grape, establishing a reputation for Burgundian varietals.

In 1980, Ludwig Hiedler assumed the estate's management, later joined by his wife María Ángeles from Barcelona. Together, they advanced the winery, establishing it as a leading producer. Their efforts led to the founding of the "Österreichische Traditionsweingüter" in 1992, enhancing Austria's vineyard classification.

Today, the Hiedler brothers, Ludwig and Dietmar, sustain the family tradition while integrating modern practices. The vineyards thrive on the unique soils of Langenlois, with a focus on sustainability and careful vineyard management. Their winemaking philosophy prioritizes authenticity and craftsmanship, producing artisan wines that reflect the land’s character. With a commitment to innovation and a vision for the future, the brothers aim to create timeless wines that embody both the Hiedler legacy and the distinct essence of the Kamptal Valley.
