A Burgundian family present in Nuits Saint Georges for the past seven generations. Members of Faiveley family have lived and worked there since 1825. Now they have about 120 hectares of vines in organic practice over different parts of Burgundy.
Ongoing development and innovation is part of the spirit of the Entrepreneurship of Faiveley. Erwan and Eve, the brother and sister, are now running the domaine and continuing adventure of the wine business.
Erwan Faiveley loves to encounter with people from different cultures and walks of life. When he was 25, he returned to Burgundy and helps his father manage the domaine, striving for producing the best, simple and authentic wines that reveal the terroirs. Apart from building and maintaining connection with clients and commercial partners, he is working on using science and technology to mitigate carbon footprint, improving cultivation practices on all levels. Later, he also invests and holds a big part of the share of one of the best California Winery, Williams Selyem, in Sonoma.
Eve Faiveley also loves to explore the world. Before she returned to Burgundy and joined his Brother to run the domaine in 2014, she travelled to and stayed in Spain and USA for a while. Her previous experience in luxury cosmetics and marketing industries offers her fresh perspective to Domaine Faiveley.
To preserve the environment and biodiversity so as to pass on the very best to future generations, respectful and sustainable cultivation is crucial for the domaine. 20 beehives can be founded across the domaine. The very best grapes are hand sorted then pressed by gravity and fermented in fine French oak barrels. Jerome Flous, the Technical Director Vines & Wines, monitors the whole process and makes sure the quality. Now Domaine Faiveley produces 11 Grand Crus, 19 Premiere Crus and 12 Village wines from Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, and Cote Chalonnaise.
