Maison Vincent Girardin, located in Meursault, is a benchmark for precision and purity in Burgundy winemaking. Founded in 1980 by Vincent Girardin—descended from a long line of winemakers dating back to the 17th century—the estate started with just two hectares of vines. Thanks to a relentless pursuit of quality, it quickly rose to international prominence. To cope with the growing demand for his wines, he developed an approach that was new to Burgundy: he purchased grapes from producers who shared the same philosophy and high standards. It was only in the early 2000s, with the arrival of Éric Germain as winemaker, that a profound change began to take place. They decided to concentrate on the essence of the wines: the expression of the great terroirs of Burgundy.

In 2012, Vincent Girardin sold the estate to La Compagnie des Vins d’Autrefois, ensuring continuity by retaining the technical team, with Éric Germain at the helm of the domain. Today, they cultivate around 32 hectares, primarily in the Côte de Beaune, using biodynamic principles.

Vinification focuses on minimal intervention, allowing each wine to express the full character of its vineyard origin. The whites—from appellations such as Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet—are noted for their finesse, elegance, and mineral structure. The reds, including Volnay and Pommard, show depth and refined tannins.

In 2023, the estate was awarded "Négociant of the Year" by La Revue du Vin de France, a testament to its consistent quality and deep respect for Burgundy’s diverse terroirs.

Today, Maison Vincent Girardin continues to captivate wine lovers around the world with cuvées that reflect the soul of each vineyard, balancing modern precision with traditional values.
