In the heart of Napa Valley's renowned Oakville appellation, Harlan Estate has been crafting some of the region's most prestigious and sought-after wines for over 35 years. Founded in 1984 by visionary businessman Bill Harlan, the estate was built upon a lofty ambition - to create a California "first growth" wine that could stand alongside the legendary estates of Bordeaux.

Harlan's journey began with the acquisition of an exceptional 240-acre property, where he set out to meticulously tend the land and plant the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot vines. The first vintage of the Harlan Estate flagship wine was released in 1990, and from the very beginning, it was clear that Harlan had succeeded in his quest. The wine's intense concentration of fruit, seamless structure and remarkable ageing potential quickly earned it cult status amongst discerning wine enthusiasts.

Over the decades, Harlan Estate has continued to push the boundaries of quality, introducing additional acclaimed single-vineyard labels like "Promontory" that showcase the estate's diverse terroir. The Maiden, Harlan's second wine, has also garnered tremendous praise, demonstrating the winery's uncompromising commitment to excellence at every level.

Today, under the leadership of Bill Harlan's son Will, Harlan Estate remains a family-owned operation dedicated to meticulous viticulture and winemaking. As one of Napa's "first-growth" equivalents, the winery's iconic Cabernet Sauvignons are considered some of the world's greatest, respected for their remarkable depth, complexity and ageability. With each new vintage, Harlan Estate solidifies its reputation as a true standard-bearer for Napa Valley's wine legacy.
