In 2022, Burgundy experienced a vintage marked by exceptional quality and abundance, showcasing a harmonious balance across the region. The weather conditions leading up to the harvest were somewhat unexpected, yet they resulted in wines that are both consistent and expressive in their character. 

Domaine Michel Niellon, renowned for its meticulous approach and commitment to excellence, produced remarkable offerings in 2022. The harvest at Michel Niellon took place from August 25th to 30th, yielding warm, healthy grapes that contributed to aromatic musts. Yields were around 50-55 hl/ha, with alcohol levels ranging from 12.8 to 13.5 degrees and favorable pH readings, ensuring a solid foundation for the wines. Notably, there were no fermentation issues reported, highlighting the smooth winemaking process. The white wines were bottled in early August 2023, now using agglomerate corks, while the reds were recently racked to tank and are set for bottling in November. This meticulous approach reflects Domaine Michel Niellon's commitment to quality, promising a vintage that showcases the best of Burgundy's terroir.
