Some vineyards transcend classification. Few names in Burgundy carry the historical significance of Clos des Cortons Faiveley, the domaine's flagship Grand Cru monopole and one of the Côte de Beaune's most celebrated terroirs for Pinot Noir.

Awarded 5 Stars by Jasper Morris MW, the Domaine Faiveley Corton Grand Cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley Monopole 2022 stands among the highlights of Domaine Faiveley's cellar. Morris notes an immediate sense of nobility on the nose, describing a wine that combines intensity with remarkable composure and precision.

The 2022 growing season delivered healthy yields across Burgundy, yet not all sites performed equally. Reflecting on the vintage, Erwan Faiveley observed that while some areas experienced uneven ripening, Corton was exceptional. It is therefore no surprise that Clos des Cortons-Faiveley emerged as one of the standout wines of the harvest.

Deeply coloured and beautifully proportioned, the wine offers layered dark cherry, black raspberry and violet aromas framed by refined oak and the mineral backbone characteristic of this historic hillside. Beneath its youthful energy lies the structure and concentration for long-term cellaring.
