Château des Quarts was established in 2003 by friends Dominique Lafon and Olivier Merlin. For over a decade, Olivier focused on sourcing and producing wine from top sites in Pouilly-Fuissé, bottling them under his own label. After purchasing grapes from Clos des Quarts for several vintages, he was among the first to learn it was for sale. Recognizing the terroir's potential, he seized the opportunity. The vineyard, located in Chaintré—Pouilly-Fuissé's southernmost village—spans just over 2 hectares, with its oldest vines nearly a century old, thriving on clay-limestone soils.
Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon, established by Dominique Lafon in 1999, is a tribute to the rich heritage of Burgundy winemaking. This project focuses on producing wines that reflect the unique terroirs of the Mâconnais region, utilizing organic and biodynamic practices. With a commitment to quality and authenticity, the estate produces elegant, expressive wines that showcase the distinct characteristics of each vineyard site, while honoring the traditions of Burgundy.
