Located on the way to the Combe de Lavaux, next to the estate of his cousin Bernard Dugat-Py, Emmanuel is the fourth generation of vignerons to tend the Humbert family estate. He took over the Domaine from his parents in 1989 with his brother (who has now retired) and his nephew Pierre-Yves Humbert, who used to work in Domaine Armand Rousseau for few years, joined in 2017 to support him both in the vineyards and for the vinification.

The style of Domaine Humbert wines is a highly concentrated character of Gevrey Chambertin focusing on classic savory taste while balancing the power and elegance of the wines. Since 2014, they have abstained from fining or filtering their wines, highlighting the domaine's typicity, characterized by freshness. The winery cherishes old vines rooted in exceptional terroir.
