Domaine Lafouge’s 2022 vintage is one of Auxey-Duresses’s most captivating releases—a hot but dry year that young Maxime Lafouge calls “incredibly fresh and vibrant while maintaining the beautiful terroir transparency of classic vintages.” The collection impresses with ripe, spotless fruit purity, vibrant freshness, and minerality, all while showcasing the domaine’s organic, hand-harvested, terroir-driven style with selective whole clusters in some reds.

Winery began picking on 31 August, harvesting quickly after a June storm replenished reserves amid near-zero July-August rain, with good yields around 40 hl/ha in Pinot Noir—ensuring concentration alongside clarity and energy. The reds were bottled unfiltered and unfined in December 2023, preserving their lively precision.
