Vega Sicilia fully deserves its reputation as Spain's most famous and iconic wine producer. Operating since 1864, well before the establishment of the Ribera del Duero Denominación de Origen.

The estate spans approximately 1,000 hectares, with around 210 hectares dedicated to vineyards primarily planted with Tempranillo, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec. Vega Sicilia produces three main wines: Unico and Reserva Especial, both aged for a minimum of 10 years, and Valbuena, aged for 5 years, all in oak barrels.

Acquired by the Álvarez family in 1982, the estate is part of a larger portfolio that includes Bodegas Alión, Bodegas Pintia, and the Oremus estate in Hungary, among others.

Their partnership with Compagnie Viticole Baron Edmond de Rothschild to create the Macán estate in Rioja reflects their commitment to high-quality Spanish wines. Vega Sicilia's longevity and consistent quality have solidified its status as an iconic symbol of Spanish viticulture.

We invite you to explore a selection of remarkable vintages from Vega Sicilia, showcasing the artistry and heritage of this legendary producer. Each bottle tells a story of tradition and innovation, making this an unmissable opportunity for wine enthusiasts. Join us in celebrating the legacy of Vega Sicilia, a true masterpieces of Spain.
