This displayed a nose that bordered on being surmature with traces of stewed fruit along with good spiciness and earth nuances. There is very good richness to the round and velvety middle weight flavors that are quite suave and seductively textured, all wrapped in a mouth coating finish that offers very good but not truly special length. While certainly a quality '76 I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of excellent depth and length, particularly given that a '76 Giroud Suchots tasted side by side (see herein) was substantially better. In sum, this is pretty and perfectly nice but it's not a great Musigny.
