Our team had the pleasure of welcoming Fabien Moreau, sixth-generation owner of Domaine Christian Moreau Père & Fils, together with his daughter Maëlle Moreau, for a staff training session on the 2023 vintage.
Fabien shared with us his family’s deep connection to Chablis, which dates back to 1814. In 2002, he and his father Christian revived the family name, establishing a domaine with 12.5 hectares of prime vineyards at the foot of the Grand Cru slopes.
Among their holdings are remarkable parcels in Les Clos — including the family’s historic first Grand Cru purchase, the exclusive monopole Clos des Hospices — along with Valmur, Vaudésir, and Blanchot. With vines often exceeding 40 years of age and certified organic since 2013, the domaine emphasises hand-harvesting and minimalist winemaking to capture the signature tension, minerality, and crystalline purity of great Chablis.
