Hosted by Grégoire Piochon, the session guided our trade partners through a focused tasting of Chardonnay-led Champagnes — from the freshness and balance of Delamotte to the more structured, linear expression of Salon — before opening into a broader, more expressive Argentinian profile.
Served with canapés, the wines showed their character in a more complete setting:
the tension and clarity of Blanc de Blancs working seamlessly with the food, while the vintage wines revealed added depth and persistence across the palate.
Featured Wines
* Delamotte Brut NV
A cuvée of poise and freshness, showing citrus zest and white flowers with a delicate brioche finish.
* Delamotte Blanc de Blancs NV
The benchmark for Côte des Blancs purity; crystalline and mineral-driven with an effortless, chalky finish.
* Delamotte Blanc de Blancs 2018
From a solar vintage, this bottling balances its inherent tension with riper stone fruits and a supple, broad texture.
* Salon 2015
A monolithic expression of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Monovarietal and monoterroir—intensely saline, precise, and powerful.
* Delamotte Rosé NV
The art of blending is at work here giving distinct structure and gastronomic intent, defined by wild strawberry notes and a firm spine.
• Tiano & Nareno 2022
Leafy and green on the nose, leading to a silky palate layered with forest floor and cedar, finishing long with gently grippy tannins.
Thank you to our friends in the trade for joining us. It is always a pleasure to dive deep into the heart of these prestige houses with those who appreciate them most.
