Château Plince is a distinguished winery nestled just outside the village of Catusseau in Pomerol, Bordeaux. Owned by the Moreau family for over four generations, this estate has built a reputation for producing elegant and expressive wines that capture the unique characteristics of the Pomerol terroir.

The vineyard at Château Plince is notable for its distinctive dark sand interlaced with an iron-rich subsoil, which contributes to the complexity and richness of the wines. The property consists of a singular block of vines, strategically located next to renowned neighbors such as Châteaux Nenin and La Pointe, further highlighting its esteemed position within the Pomerol appellation.

After harvesting, the grapes undergo meticulous sorting to ensure only the highest quality fruit enters the winemaking process. They are then transferred to thermo-regulated cement tanks, where they undergo one week of pre-fermentation maceration. Following this initial process, fermentation takes place for a duration of 1 to 2 weeks, during which the wine begins to develop its character. After another week or two of maceration, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels—one-third of which are new—for malolactic fermentation. This aging process lasts between 12 and 18 months, allowing the wine to integrate and mature beautifully.

The careful, traditional approach to winemaking at Château Plince is reflected in its wines, which exude a sense of elegance and depth. Through the Moreau family's unwavering commitment to quality and heritage, Château Plince continues to be a respected name in Pomerol, delighting wine lovers with its exceptional offerings that truly represent the essence of the region.
