Domaine des Tourelles is one of the most renowned and long-established wineries in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. Founded in 1868 by French adventurer François-Eugène Brun, it was the first commercial winery in Lebanon producing wines, arak, and other spirits. In 2000, the winery was acquired by the Issa and Issa-el-Khoury families, who are closely connected to the Brun family.

Today, the domain is led by winemaker Faouzi Issa, along with his sisters Christiane and Joanne. Faouzi trained in Montpellier and gained experience at the prestigious Château Margaux before returning to the Bekaa Valley. His efforts have helped place the family's wines among the most recognized and awarded in Lebanon. The winery also boasts an impressive collection of antique winemaking equipment.

Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, situated at an altitude of 2,500 to 3,000 feet, provides an ideal microclimate for viticulture. The hot days, cooled by gentle breezes at night, and well-draining, limestone-rich soils produce rich, fleshy reds and delicate, aromatic whites. Domaine des Tourelles' vineyards, some of the oldest in the region, are carefully tended using organic practices.

Beyond its exceptional wines, Domaine des Tourelles is committed to sustainability and community engagement. The winery reuses its own bottles, recycles waste, and prioritizes hiring from the local Jdita village, providing stable employment and allowing families to remain on their ancestral lands. This holistic approach has cemented the domain's reputation as a pioneering force in the Lebanese wine industry.

Overall, Domaine des Tourelles stands out as a winery with a rich history, dedicated winemaking team, exceptional terroir, and a deep commitment to sustainability and community. Its wines have gained international acclaim, reflecting the skill and passion of those who steward this historic estate.
