Edouard Delaunay is a modern and ambitious winery located in the heart of Burgundy, France, renowned for its commitment to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The winery builds on a rich family heritage while embracing innovative winemaking techniques.

Notably, the 2020 vintage of Edouard Delaunay’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru white wine was served at a state dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron for Chinese President Xi Jinping in May 2024, underscoring the wine's exceptional quality and prestige.

Bought back in 2017 by Laurent Delaunay, the great grandson of the founder, it strives to regain its place within the inner circle of the great houses of Burgundy through the meticulous and precise vinification and ageing of exceptional wines from some of Burgundy’s finest terroirs.

Edouard Delaunay’s vineyards are strategically located in some of the most coveted appellations of Burgundy, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, and Puligny-Montrachet. The estate values sustainable viticulture, employing organic practices to promote the health of the vines and the environment. The diverse soils—comprising clay, limestone, and marl—contribute to the complexity and finesse of the grapes, ensuring that each wine expresses the essence of its terroir.

Thanks to the unique network, grapes of the finest quality are bought from Burgundy’s top growers. As much as possible, the Maison selects those grown from vineyards that are managed in a sustainable and ecologically responsible manner, privileging organic viticulture. Edouard Delaunay works in conjunction with growers throughout the entire year, decide on the harvest date and even pick the grapes themselves.

The fermentation process utilizes both stainless steel and oak, allowing for a delicate balance of freshness and depth in the wines. Aging typically occurs in French oak barrels, striking a perfect harmony between the fruit's natural characteristics and the subtle influence of oak.
